Invite-Welcome-Connect: Developing an Effective Newcomer Ministry

Though "The Episcopal Church Welcomes You" has been our unofficial motto for many years, many Episcopal churches have struggled to put this into practice. Since 2010, Mary Parmer has helped numerous communities of faith become more welcoming. Specifically designed with clergy, vestries, staff, and congregational leadership in mind, "Invite-Welcome-Connect" offers concrete steps toward developing an effective newcomer ministry. At this year's clergy conference, participants will reflect on the current culture of welcome in their communities and develop specific strategies for implementing an effective newcomer ministry.

Registration cost per clergy: $210*

*The first 140 clergy to register will receive an automatic Continuing Education Grant to reduce the Clergy Registration Cost (additional scholarships are available as needed). The full cost of the program is $360, which includes gratuity for the hotel staff.

Spouses and partners are welcome! Lodging is free for spouses & partners. An optional meal plan will be available for spouses & partners. Childcare and elder care subsidies also available upon request.

What you can expect this year:
Great fellowship, interactive workshops, free time to visit downtown Cape May, and opportunities for spiritual formation and self-care.
