One of the best Lirac the Rhone valley has to offer is arriving this week, Mordoree Lirac Rouge Reine des Bois 2016. The top producer of the region combined with the best vintage we've seen in a decade and all summed up with a 95 point score! This is a limited supply that we are offering to our previous Rhone buyers today.  With a good hour of decanting this wine drinks today, but for those that wait, the flavors will integrate and this could well be one of the most rewarding bottles in your cellar in just a few years
Some of you may have noticed Parker's tweet on this wine a while back where he said,"This Lirac is a great substitute for Chateauneuf". I've been saying that for years! This is, by far, the most bang for your buck region in the Rhone. Lirac wines drink amazing young and only improve with age. Not all of them can stand up to a Chateauneuf, but Mordoree's RDB has no issue taking the Pepsi challenge!
This wine has a huge nose of blackberry, peppermint, and dried honey. With crimson purple in that glass, you know you are in for something special. There is a wonderful balance of raspberry and black fruit notes on this medium to heavy weighted juice. The finish is long and juicy with chewy tannin and spice flavors. Drink this one now, or let improve with 2 to 3 years of bottle age...or cellar for up 10 to 12 years.

Remember, we will store your wine all summer or winter long if needed, free of charge when it is too cold or hot  to ship in your area, our area, or anywhere in between!
We also offer,  for a small fee, HEATING PACKS to all states & COOLING PACKS to most states on the checkout page to allow shipping at anytime.

Mordoree Lirac Rouge Reine des Bois 2016

One of the finest releases from not only this appellation but the entire Southern Rhône, the 2016 Lirac La Reine Des Bois is a unique blend of close to equal parts Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre that's brought up in 30% used barrels, the balance in stainless steel. It literally jumps from the glass with loads of blackberry and currant fruits, graphite, charred meats, and peppery herbs. Deeply colored, medium to full-bodied, with sensational purity, give bottles a year or two and enjoy through 2028. It's another brilliant wine from this estate that's landed on both feet after the passing of winemaker Christophe Delorme in 2015.
