2016 Was Great! 2017 Will Be Even Better!

Dear Friends,
As 2016 comes to a close, it is a good time to look back on our challenges and accomplishments in 2016 and use this moment of reflection as an opportunity to build out a roadmap for the year ahead.
A brief look at 2016 suggests that we reached our goals successfully with many thanks to you. We welcome 2017 with the same joy and understanding to build another successful year. We believe 2017 is going to be our best year yet.
In 2016, we increased our number of student scholarship recipients to more than 8,700 students, 272 of them were accepted to attend
universities to further their educational needs. During this period, our monthly sponsors increased to more than 3,200. This growth helped Child Foundation surpass more than $3 million in donations for the first time in its history.  But that's not all and I will provide you with additional detail of our success stories coming weeks.
Meanwhile, I like to ask you if you are not yet apart of our sponsorship family, we hope you join us by sponsoring a child today. Just $1 a day can help change a child's life and help him/her ultimately become a productive member of our global community.
To our generous sponsors: thank you. Your help has meant everything on this road to helping our children rise above poverty. We also encourage you to consider increasing your monthly donation and sponsoring another child. Beyond being an end of the year tax benefit, you will foster a family of children to become educated change makers. With your help, we will reach our goal of supporting 10,000 students in 2017.
On behalf of all our children and our management team, we wish a happy Yalda to you and your loved ones.

Peyman Raoofi. Psy.D.
President & CEO
Child Foundation @ Google, Apple & Facebook

On Monday, December 5th, Dr. Raoofi, Child Foundation's President, and Masoud Modarres, Director of Outreach & Development, traveled to San Francisco for a few presentations. The first stop was at Google headquarters to meet with some of their employees. Thanks to their high tech conference room many others were able to attend the meeting from other cities and events from Canada. Child Foundation is a recipient of Google's $10,000 per month ad grant. Google has also assigned three of its employees to training to help us utilize all of their donation apps and services. So far, they have traveled twice from San Francisco to Portland to train our employees.

Peyman and Masoud also met with some employees of Apple and Facebook to see how we can utilize their services for our humanitarian projects. On the same evening, we had a fundraising dinner at one of San Jose's local restaurants where many of our friends and supported gathered to see how they can help Child Foundation to expand our activities in Northern California. We thank all of our volunteers and friends for attending these meetings as well as Google for all of their help and hospitality. So far we have received more than $40,000 in donations from Googlians.
Clothes & Shoes for Baluch Children
Our Zahedan office recently visited a school in a village a few hours away. The school is in not good condition. Its 92 boys and girls are in desperate need of clothes and shoes.

We encourage you to join us in this humanitarian effort to help these students as winter weather quickly becomes colder in Sistan Baluchestan. Please donate generously here.

Hi, I'm Mahsa!
My name is Mahsa.  I am ten years old and in the 4th grade. I live in Shiraz.

My father, who was a simple laborer, he died from a heart attack. Although my mother works occasionally on different farms to help us, it is not nearly enough to help our household. My brother is also a student in primary school. Both of us are smart and hardworking, but the financial pressure has taken a toll on our family.

I need your help to stay in school and work towards a better future.

Still Time for Toys
Our Annual Toy Drive  is going strong in Los Angeles but time is running out !

If you wish to donate toys, please do it by December 21st since we leave for Children's Hospital on Wednesday noon.
