Dear TAAA Supporter:
I am writing to ask you to help sponsor this year's TAAA Board of Directors Dinner honoring key members of the Texas Legislature. We host this dinner every other year when the legislature is in session, and we invite a few of our key allies at the Capitol to join us to discuss issues important to agricultural aviation. This year's dinner will be held on Wednesday evening, March 8, 2017. We are going to use the same location as the last time we hosted this event, which is the Austin Land & Cattle restaurant, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
During the last legislative session in 2015, it was this dinner that served as the final push for legislation that secured passage of legislation requiring the marking of meteorological evaluation towers (METs). And the dinner before that, during session of 2013, it was this same dinner that served as the foundation for legislation that dramatically reduced margins taxes on aerial application operator businesses.
Ten companies helped host the dinner in 2015, each contributing either $500 or $250 to help pay for the event. Please consider being one of these sponsors for our 2017 effort. If you gave in 2015, we hope you will help again; and if you did not, we really hope you will consider it this time. You will be recognized with signage at the event and in our Newsletter for your support.
