CALL FOR PRESENTATIONS
33rd Annual
Connecticut Land Conservation Conference
March 18, 2017
8:30am - 4:45pm
Followed by Reception
Wesleyan University, Middletown, CT

The Connecticut Land Conservation Council (CLCC) invites you to submit a proposal for its 2017 Connecticut Land Conservation Conference, the state's largest annual full-day land conservation gathering, which continues to grow in popularity and size.

Close to 500 participants attended the 2016 Conference including board members, staff and volunteers from land trusts, municipal land use commissions, state and federal agencies, state and local conservation organizations and garden clubs, as well as landowners and others interested in conservation.

The 2017 Conference will offer at least twenty-four 90-minute workshops  organized under subject tracks  as well as a limited number of three hour afternoon seminars for more in-depth topical discussions. We will also consider proposals for 45-minute "mini-workshops" for an afternoon Humanities Track.  You may submit a proposal for a presentation within one of these time frames (45-minute, 90-minute, or three hours).

Please be sure to include time for questions and discussion. Panel and/or roundtable discussions, case studies, as well as peer learning opportunities are highly encouraged.  We prefer that no more than three individuals present during a 90-minute session.  In some instances, the Conference review committee may suggest combining presentations similar in content into one workshop or panel.
Please see below for the subject areas we are interested in covering that are relevant to the work of land  trusts and other members of Connecticut's conservation community. This list is meant to be a guide and we welcome the opportunity to consider proposals on other topics.
