Directed Retreats and Summer Sabbath

We are delighted to announce our 2017 Spring, Summer and Winter directed retreats and Summer Sabbath dates.

Directed retreats offer an experience grounded in solitude, silence, prayer and daily meetings with a spiritual director. Directed retreats call for receptivity to the movements of the Spirit and are adaptable to the needs of each individual. Mass will not be available on-site except for those retreats where there is a priest director.

Summer Sabbath is a time to come to the water to renew your connection with life’s animating Spirit and recover your potential for joy and peace. Sabbath time can be as unplanned and open as you seek. Time to gather for reflection and prayer will be offered during the week, and spiritual direction is offered by request, not on a daily basis.

We will begin accepting telephone and email registrations on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 9:30am. Please note to be fair to all, registrations will not be accepted before 9:30 am. Email rosemary@mercybythesea.org or call Rosemary Jones at 203-245-0401, Ext. 114. Please provide alternative choices in the event a retreat/spiritual director is booked. Confirmations/regrets will be sent the week of January 23, 2017.

Retreats begin with a simple supper at 5:30 pm on the first night of retreat and end with check out at 10:00 am on the last day of the retreat. Cost includes single occupancy with ensuite bath, meals and spiritual direction. Check-in is between 4 pm and 5 pm on the day the retreat begins.
