2017 WCA Legislative Exchange Brings County Officials Together Next Week in Madison
The Wisconsin Counties Association will hold its 2017 WCA Legislative Exchange February 7 and 8 at the Madison Concourse Hotel in Madison, Wisconsin.
County officials will gather to discuss the important issues that are facing counties around the state. This year, the agenda is full of legislative leaders and top government officials discussing relevant issues.

Parking for WCA Legislative Exchange
Please note the Madison Concourse Hotel will be undergoing construction in the hotel garage and the hotel parking garage will be closed entirely.
Valet parking is available for all overnight hotel guests at the cost of $10 per vehicle. Guests should pull up in front of the hotel and a member of their staff will assist. For guests that are not staying overnight, they can park in the State Street Capitol Garage, just a half block from the hotel on 214 North Carroll Street.
Day-only guests that are coming to the hotel and not staying overnight will need to pay for the parking ramp charges on their own at the public parking ramp.

Can I get a copy of the agenda for the event?
How do I get to the Madison Concourse Hotel? Directions can be found here.
I have a question about my hotel reservation. Who do I contact? For questions about your hotel reservation, please contact the Madison Concourse Hotel directly at 800.356.8293. Can I park directly at the hotel? No, the Concourse Hotel parking ramp is closed for construction. See the story at the top of this newsletter for additional parking information. What is the attire for the event? Business casual. Please remember that meeting room temperatures do not feel the same for everyone.
You may want to bring a light sweater/blazer should meeting room temperatures be too cool for you. Temperatures in all meeting rooms vary, so please dress accordingly. Can I buy individual meal tickets? If your spouse or guest would like to join you for a meal, tickets may be purchased for $16 each at the event for Tuesday's or Wednesday's meals.
Can I bring a spouse or guest to the County Reception? Yes. There is no charge for the event if you are a registered county delegate.
Note: If you are a state public official or state employee subject to the Code of Ethics for Public Officials or Administrative Rule Governing Ethics for State Employees, your contribution is $15.00, representing the value of the food, beverage and other matters provided at the event.

COUNTY RECEPTION TUESDAY FEBRUARY 7
In conjunction with the WCA Legislative Exchange, the Wisconsin Counties Association will host its annual County Reception on Tuesday, February 7 from 5-7 p.m.
The event will be held at the Madison Concourse Hotel and is included for those attending the Legislative Exchange. This is an excellent opportunity to mingle with fellow county officials, as well as with members of the Wisconsin State Senate and Assembly and other government officials in an informal setting.
