Luxury Apartments Designed

Embrey Partners has finalized plans for a gateway project on Quebec Street south of Lowry Boulevard. The luxury community will feature 347 apartments, two large outdoor courtyards, swimming pools and a rooftop "sky deck" for gatherings.

Care was taken to vary the architectural materials, break up building massing and soften edges with enhanced landscaping. Buildings on Quebec Street will be three stories tall, stepping back to four stories. Find more information and a conceptual flyby video here. Construction is scheduled to start this spring.

Community Park Artist Selected

Prominent artist Patrick Marold will design an iconic public art piece in Boulevard One's Community Park. Marold, a Colorado native, recently installed Shadow Array at DIA, which integrated hundreds of beetle-kill logs flanking the commuter rail platform. Locals might also know Avian Front, a large steel installation by the Denver Zoo.

The Boulevard One piece will be a weathered steel silo with cutouts that cast shadows during the day and light at night. "This will be a stunning piece that will look different throughout the year," said David Griggs, Lowry public art consultant. "It will be a real addition to the art collections at Lowry and in Denver." Marold's studio will design the piece in 2017, with a late fall installation currently planned. More at patrickmarold.com.
