  2. Bob Long, Supervisor District 6, Hour 1:44:30 (link above) is moving out of the district. The Chair will accept applications, the applicants will speak to the Board, and there will be a vote by the Board. There is a good candidate already lined up. And you thought you could take a break from politics? Also, Judy Achterhof, District 17, is not running for re-election.   3. Some of our group braved snow and ice to attend the Human Trafficking event in Stillwater November 8. St. Croix County is part of a human trafficking corridor. Please see this web site for identifying signs and offering help to victims: Breaking Free! The Washington County (Minnesota) District Attorney educated the attendees about human trafficking and the infiltration of organized crime. Fight The New Drug (www.FightTheNewDrug.org).

  5. We will be hosting a Citizens for the St. Croix Valley Education Evening at the Hudson (WI) Library January 17, 2019, 5:30 p.m. This is open to the public. The video to be shown will be announced at a later date. This will be a recurring event.
