Choosing Jesus

St. Louis Catholic School was honored with a very successful 2018-2019 annual fund campaign! Our year’s spiritual theme, “Choose Jesus, the one who chose you first”, was not only highlighted through school service and faith activities, but also through many generous annual fund donations. Thanks to the pledges of current parents, alumni, parishioners, community members and corporate matching funds, we surpassed our total efforts from the previous year, raising our highest total ever in both monetary gifts and participation.

Family gifts of prayer helped to support our annual fund efforts as well as the many intentions of the school and parish. Financial donations, totaling just over $98,000 were used in three ways: $68,227 was spent on updating and improving the interior doors and lock mechanisms with keyless cards; $15,000 was spent on chromebooks, chromebook carts and management licenses for elementary and middle school classrooms; and $15,000 was dedicated to school tuition assistance for parish families in need. Additional service donations were valued at $2,512.

Participation in the fund drive increased  23% overall, and 69% of all donations came from our school families. We are committed to reaching our goal of 100% school family participation, whether it be through financial donations, service or prayer. Thus, we plan to increase our development efforts to promote the campaign, as well as the importance of full family and community involvement. While the annual fund continues to support the financial needs of students and families through tuition assistance, the campaign is truly an important capital fund for St. Louis Catholic School, providing capital improvements in facility, technology and educational tools.

Mother Teresa wrote, “Faith in action is love and love in action is service.” Each of you who participated in our annual fund is a part of love in action that we continue to model right here at St. Louis School. We are so grateful to the generous families and friends who have shared themselves this past year. Each effort helps our school continue to grow in its mission to be rooted in faith, growing in Christ, while providing outstanding instruction for academic excellence. I will continue to keep all of our donors and student recipients in my prayers as we work together to #Choose Jesus.

God bless,
