Dear PTA Leaders,
Warm holiday greetings to all Sixteenth District leaders! It’s hard to believe that the 2018/19 school year is almost half way through. The Sixteenth District PTA is delighted to continue to play an integral role in our children’s education. This could not be possible without awesome volunteers like you!

We have a Special Meeting planned December 19th. Please see the information below.

Our next regularly scheduled General Meeting will be January 16, at 7 pm at Marin County Office of Education, 1000 Las Gallinas Avenue in San Rafael featuring An Evening with the Arts.  Special guests will include a Miko Lee, Executive Director of Youth in Arts and Heather Ippolito, Chair of the California
State PTA Arts Committee. An encompassing overview of arts education including the recently republished Parents Guide to the Visual and Performing Arts and recently released first ever Marin Arts Education Plan, as well as an overview of the Create California public will plan. There will also be opportunities for you to get your questions answered. Please join us.

Thank you all for your continued support of PTA. Have a blessed holiday season.

MJ Lonson
16th District PTA
A Special Association meeting will be held on Wednesday, December 19 at 9 am at Dr. Insomniac’s, 800 Grant Avenue, Novato to review and approve Sixteenth District’s State PTA Resolution on Temperature Control Standards in the School Setting. Heather Smith, the writer of the resolution will discuss and answer any questions before moving to a vote which is required before submission to State PTA. We will also be voting on Heather Smith as a signatory to the 16th District Account.

We expect the meeting to be brief and hope you can join to celebrate this momentous occasion and the holidays!

We are here to help.

Even if your unit doesn’t use PTAEZ, you have access to PTAEZ by using the following login information:

Units who need further assistance with uploading their documents should contact:

• North Marin Council (Novato units): Lisa Swanson
• Mill Valley Council: Jennifer Morris
• Out-of-Council (all other units not in either council): Heather Smith
