Lakewood Yacht Club and Bay Access Foundation hosted the 2018 Heald Bank Regatta August 17-18 under near perfect sailing conditions.
"Heald Bank is an offshore regatta that is sailed in the Gulf and follows a triangular course that starts and finishes in Galveston.," LYC Race Chairman Bob Hunkins remarked. "We had great offshore sailing conditions, a fun post-race party, awesome volunteers and, as always, generous sponsors to help make this event a success."

The City of Seabrook provided numerous activities for non-racers to do while their sailor friends and family members were out on the water. And then, a fun-filled evening followed the event as racers, volunteers and guests enjoyed the
dinner and awards party at LYC, which included a "Pirates' Pig Roast," live entertainment by
Andy & the Dreamsicles
and plenty of Texas Navy Rum.
