Highlights from 2018
We had a great 2018 thanks to all of your support! Thank you for helping us grow into the vibrant community we've become. Here's a look back at the amazing times we shared together this year. We can't wait to experience 2019 with all of you. Happy New Year!
Lunarfest: February
We were again a proud supporter of Lunarfest, Connecticut's largest Lunar New Year celebration organized by Yale-China Association. Shifu Shirley on Good Morning CT: February
Shifu Shirley Chock was on  Good Morning CT at Nine on February 26 to discuss the health benefits of Tai Chi with WTNH's medical reporter, Jocelyn Maminta.

Launch of Aiping Tai Chi Center - Austin: April
On April 3rd Grandmaster Aiping Cheng launched Aiping Tai Chi Center - Austin with classes being taught inside the the  Asian American Cultural Center  located at 11713 Jollyville Rd, Austin, TX. She has been extremely busy these past few months giving numerous demonstrations and workshops to a captive audience. Like her Facebook page to learn more about what she's been doing in Austin.
Grandmaster Aiping participated in Austin's World Tai Chi Day event giving a demonstration and workshop.
Mike Rose has been Grandmaster Aiping's assistant in Austin. Sean Boutin traveled to visit her in September.

World Tai Chi Day at Yale: April
On April 28, Aiping Tai Chi Center and Yale-China Association organized the First World Tai Chi Day at Yale, with sponsorship from many Yale University organizations. Over 300 people gathered on the Yale campus to watch demonstrations and participate in workshops by: 3 Element Martial Arts, Aiping Tai Chi Center, Elev8ion Tai Chi, Kathy Brenner, Long River Taijiquan, Rich Dicine, Silent Dragon Kung Fu and Tai Chi, Yin Yang Taijiquan Academy, and visiting professor Dr. Changnian Zhang.

World Health Qigong Day: September
We were thrilled to be able to bring Chinese Health Qigong classes back into our school curriculum this past summer. We celebrated the 2nd World Health Qigong Day on September 8 as part of the Tai Chi Qigong Association of America celebration events. Grandmaster Aiping Cheng's Connecticut Visit: September
We welcomed Grandmaster Aiping Cheng back to Connecticut in September by throwing her a party. She also gave us a wonderful workshop. Grandmaster Aiping was warmed by the wonderful welcome she received. Click on the image above to see photos from her visit.
China Trip : September
Grandmaster Aiping Cheng led students on our bi-annual China trip September 11 - 24. The tour included Beijing, Sanya for the 3rd World Tai Chi Culture Festival, Shanghai, Wu Xi and Hangzhou. Click on the image above to see photos from the trip.

Debut of New Demonstration Uniform: September
We debuted a beautiful new school demonstration uniform made from easy care, breathable, machine washable materials. Uniforms will be available for purchase at the school in 2019 (both with and without the school symbol on the back).
Sunday Workshop Series
We added a Sunday workshop series to our curriculum this year, doing deep dives into various topics for beginners and advanced students to develop a deeper understanding of tai chi principles and techniques. William Ng: Tai Chi Champion
We are very proud of William Ng who has continued to work hard and win tai chi championships this year.
William won the Crystal Cup for males 18 and under, including 2 gold and 2 silver medals in the US Capital Classic China Open on August 3rd.
William won the Tai Chi Cup for males 18 and under, including 4 gold medals at the 8th New England International Martial Arts Championships on November 4th.
