We are excited to share plans for the 2018 "Current Events" Game including video teaser and Boosting BEST 8 April Fundraiser and near term kit team volunteer opportunity.

We also look back at our 2017 inaugural Denver BEST Regional Championship - check out all the photos below - and we highlight the many donations that made us successful in hosting free BEST robotics competitions in Denver.
2018 BEST Robotics Game Announced - Current Events
BEST Robotics Inc. has released a video teaser for the 2018 season competition.

All the details of this year's free middle and high school fall robotics competition will be revealed to competing schools in September.

We will be starting to sign up schools for the 2018 competition in the next few months.
Save the Date - 8 April Boosting BEST Fundraiser
Please mark Sunday 8 April 2018 on your calendar for our Boosting BEST Fundraiser at BAC Appliance Center. More information to come in future newsletters about the Silent Auction and evening activities.

Look for an invitation email to the event in March to join in the fun and help continue bringing free robotics to Colorado middle and high school students.

Remembering 2017 Inaugural Denver BEST Robotics Regional Championship

Over 3 days in mid-December, we hosted 22 schools at the inaugural championship at Metropolitan State University of Denver. The schools traveled from 5 Colorado BEST Robotics hubs including one school from Raton, New Mexico.

Our sincere thanks to all who made the championship a success!

Current Volunteer Opportunities
The Monday Kit Team is already working most Monday's at 10 AM at our workshop located at 781 Vallejo in Denver. We are assessing the returned kits from the 2017 competition and conducting an inventory of all that was returned. No experience needed and extra hands are always helpful. Please contact Carolyn Bauer at cbauer@rmbest.org if you are interested in working on the kit team. You can send an email to get additional information.

You can donate ANYTIME at  Rocky Mountain BEST at ColoradoGives.org. 
We received more than $8,000 from 2017 Colorado Gives Day donations, including a boost of more than $350 from the 1st Bank / Giving First $1M fund.

Benevity
 If  your company has gift matching through Benevity, Rocky Mountain BEST is one of the eligible non-profit organizations. Please check with your company about gift matching! A very generous Google employee with company matches donated over $1500 during 2017.

Kroger Gift Card
If you have a Rocky Mountain BEST King Soopers/City Market Gift Card, Kroger donates 5% of EVERY gift card purchase at any Kroger Store -- including card refills -- to Rocky Mountain BEST... all at no cost to you -- FOREVER! In 2017, we received over $3800 thanks to all the card users.  Contact Lois at lwalton@rmbest.org   to make arrangements to purchase a card and help increase the value we received.

Amazon donates 0.5% of the price of your eligible AmazonSmile purchases to Rocky Mountain BEST whenever you shop on AmazonSmile.
AmazonSmile is the same Amazon you know. Same products, same prices, same service. We received $140 in 2017 from purchases.

American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics
AIAA provided a generous $500 donation in 2017
