New Church Plant in Rural Area Continues
|
In our last newsletter we informed you that our newest church plant had started in a rural community named “Ejido la Florida.” After obtaining the property, the construction work started in May. Thanks to the Lord and your support the foundation, columns, and walls are finished. Our next step is the concrete roof. This is probably the most challenging and costly step. Would you please keep us in your prayers for God’s provision? Would keep in your prayers pastor Mingo and this new congregation?

Mission Trip to Usulutan, El Salvador
|
From May 23rd through the 28th, we had the opportunity to travel to Usulutan, El Salvador to finally meet in person the pastors and teachers of our new Bible Institute. We had a great fellowship, but we mostly talked about how to most effectively train future leaders, and the expansion of the Bible institute to another cities. We also visited our church plant there, “Nueva Familia Church.” Please keep the new pastor (Joel) and the church in your prayers.
Thanks to your support we were able to take them a projector and a laptop. We also made a commitment to continue to help them pay the rent of the Institute/Church building ($300 a month - the Bible institute and the church share a building for now).
Please keep the teachers and students of the bible institute in your prayers, and please help us pray for God's provision, 100% of the students have a scholarship, and in order to do that we need the Lord's provision.

On June 30 we will have another youth outreach at a neighborhood that is so big that some people considered it a small city. This place is also known for being “dangerous,” and this is exactly where we want to be. Please pray for the Rap singers, half are Christians and the other half aren’t. Pray that the Christian singers are used for God’s Glory, and pray that the non Christian rappers hear the Gospel. Please also pray for the whole team that will be serving and doing one on one witnessing. Also help us pray for God’s provision, this is going to be our biggest event to date. We will rent a professional stage with sound & lights, and we will give away t-shirts, stickers, CDs, and bibles.

On March 24th we had a medical clinic in a very low income community in Matamoros. We offered Free doctor consultation, medicine, glasses, dental hygiene packages, haircuts, and the gospel. Almost 200 people were attended in one day!

Three Day Bible Conference at Our Bible Institute
|
We had the privilege once again to have Dr. John Neesley, senior pastor at
Lazybrook Baptist Church
of Houston to come teach at our Bible Institute. The theme of his conference was “Grace, the Essential of Christianity”. He presented the conference to our bible institute’s students, and to pastors and leaders from different churches. We were blessed by his teaching.
Dr. Neesley also preached at our Urban church in Matamoros. He preached the prodigal son’s story. Several people were touched, especially a young lady named Joanna who works as a prostitute. She gave her life to Christ and continues to come church!

Last year I was contacted by a Christian man who was coming out of a drug and alcohol lifestyle. He wanted to enroll in our bible institute to get ready for ministry. He also joined our urban church, and eventually the Lord put in his heart to start a rehab center. We prayed together and encouraged him to do it. The Lord graciously provided a property and the project started: the foundation, columns, and walls are ready, we now need to raise funds for the concrete roof (similar situation to our newest church). This will be a Christian rehab center free of cost for anyone who wants to recover from addictions. Would you please join us in prayer for God’s provision?

This summer twelve of our churches will have Vacation Bible School! Our goal is to take the gospel to as many children as possible before the cartel recruits them, or they choose the wrong the path. Please pray for these kids and the VBS teams.
Thanks to the Lord and your generous giving we have all the VBS kits/teaching materials, but we are lacking some funds for the snacks. Will you join us in prayer for the Lord's provision?
