Dear Class of 2021 and Parents,
We invite you to apply for our 2019-2020 Confirmation Process.
We acknowledge that junior year of high school can be a time of intense pressure and stress. Along with your academics and extra-curricular activities, you are preparing for the ACT and beginning your college search. As part of this college search, you are also discerning what gifts and talents you have been given and what you are being called to do with those gifts. It can seem that adding this confirmation process into the mix is just too much. It is because of this busyness that makes this a good time for the confirmation process.
Our faith is not just another activity to juggle in our busy lives;
it is part of who we are and should drive all of our decisions

This process will help you to grow in your faith and give you the tools to help you discern your next steps in life. We are excited that you are considering joining us during this time of discernment!
We are currently re-imagining our confirmation process
.
This will take a few years to fully implement, but we are taking a big step to provide you with an experience to explore your faith. As a result, we are delaying our normal May orientation meeting until the fall. We will provide more information as it becomes available over the summer. We will discuss our new process at a fall orientation session. Please join us at one of these sessions:

Confirmation is not “graduation” from religious education. The Sacrament of Confirmation is for those who are ready to accept the responsibilities of being a disciple of Christ and lead others closer to God through their actions and words.
You should be more involved in the church community through ministry and mission after confirmation then you currently are.
Part of our new confirmation process will give you the experience of what it means to live as a disciple, post-confirmation. The process fee is $135 with a $150 retreat fee.
While this is the first year you can apply for the confirmation process, this is not your only opportunity. We invite you to prayerfully consider if now is the right time for you, or if you should wait until your senior year or as a young adult. Please know we are personally here to meet with you to help you and your parents discern if the time is right.
While more information will be provided to you during the summer you may start applying for the confirmation process. This will guarantee you will get continued information about the confirmation process over the summer. We look forward to being on this journey with you!
