Good Evening Mariners Christian School Parents:
January is the season in which we begin planning for the next school year. This year we have seen amazing provision and affirmation from our Heavenly Father through our MCS community in many ways. We have added a second TK classroom for the first time, we have completed Phase 1 of our Bright Future transformation, and we have 125 new families to welcome and embrace into our school community! Thank you MCS community for giving your support to this great school that is committed to raising up Difference Makers for His Kingdom through our deeply embedded core values of Love for Christ, Academic Excellence, Whole Child Focus, Connected Community, and Culture of Innovation.
2019 promises to be another monumental year in the legacy of Mariners Christian School as we partner with foundations, faith-based entities, family and friends to continue the pursuit of a rigorous, Christ-centered, 21st Century educational experience for our students.
As current MCS parents, you play a vital role in the planning for the 2019-2020 school year. Given our commitment to the financial stewardship of our school, the re-enrollment data of our current families and those in the Admissions process will inform our early spring budgetary decision-making for the 2019-2020 school year. Your commitment to tuition dollars by re-enrolling your children will set the course for teacher contracts and whole child programming. We are pleased to inform you that our re-enrollment fee will continue to
REMAIN at $500. We are providing notice that in future years, we may be asking for a financial commitment by way of an additional non-refundable $500-$1,000 tuition prepay, but not this year. The commitments to yearlong tuition are mission critical to our organization.
The MCS Board, Board Finance Committee and Administration announce that our tuition increase for the 2019-2020 school year will be 3.5%. This is the lowest yearly increase in 6 years! Our re-enrollment fee will remain steady at $500.
Re-Enrollment News
The administrative team has been in the process of implementing a newly integrated school management software solution over the last 6 months. We will soon become a Blackbaud K-8 school, which means that you will re-enroll your children using our new software system. We anticipate a very smooth transition, as we have found the user experience an easy and convenient one. Please be assured, we will be there every step of the way! Look for a separate email from Ashlee Cowell with detailed re-enrollment instructions and links tomorrow, Friday, January 25th.
We are praying over your family's re-enrollment commitment to MCS. The deadline to re-enroll is February 26, 2019 to ensure a seat for your child. The MCS staff counts it a privilege to serve your family in a dynamic Christian educational experience. On March 01, application acceptances will begin to go out to new prospective families. Please be aware that we are experiencing record-breaking numbers of applications for the 2019-2020 school year. Make sure you re-enroll before the deadline to secure your spot!
