TRAVEL OFFSET PROJECT
CLEAN ENERGY FROM THE MOUNTAINS

Reduce the environmental impact of your travel to Washington, DC by supporting the Social Responsibilities Special Interest Section (SR-SIS) travel offset project . By making a tax-deductible donation to Cool Effect, you'll be offsetting carbon dioxide pollution and helping Colorado's Southern Ute Tribe capture naturally-released methane to use as clean energy. Their simple solution is preventing the release of more than 60,000 metric tons of deadly greenhouse gas every year. A $13.18 donation offsets one metric ton of carbon dioxide (CO2)--the emissions for an average trip to/from Washington, DC. For more information, contact Lewis Zimmerman, chair of the SR-SIS's Committee on Environment Sustainability.
