The Silver and Larimar Crosses - A Successful Fundraiser!
We are pleased to report the good news that all six of the silver and Larimar crosses are now in the hands of generous donors to our 2019 mission trip account. That fund now contains $850 from that project, much more than we had anticipated. We are thinking about continuing this fundraising project by commissioning more silver and Larimar crosses and perhaps other jewelry items to be picked up when we are in Santo Domingo in February 2019. Good idea or not? Please let us know. Click here to see a photograph and other details about the crosses that we brought back in November.

Fr. Dave has decided to have the remaining copies of his latest collection of sermons on sale in the parish hall for one more Sunday -- December 23. All proceeds from those books will go into Christ Church's accounts for the DR mission trip and the Youth mission trip. As you may remember, this latest book has a cover photograph from our 2012 mission trip showing the village children playing in the rain during our annual party for them on the front lawn of the Episcopal conference center in El Pedregal.

Fourteen missioners have committed to join the team, and their names are on the trip planning page (link below). A fifteenth missioner is close to deciding to join the team, and if that happens only three slots will remain available. The deadline to join the team remains January 31, 2019, or whenever the 18 slots fill up -- whichever comes first. For detailed information on how to join the team, click here .
