2019 Election Security Updates for Texas
Getting Ready for 2020
In 2019, True Texas Elections has been the go-to election integrity voice for securing the computerized vote count in Texas. All across our state, we've made significant progress on heightening the security of elections and we want to sincerely thank all our supporters for making these projects and progress possible.
Texas Election Code Sections 273.001 and 273.021 stipulate the Texas Attorney General has the jurisdiction to investigate and prosecute if criminal conduct occurred in an election.
True Texas Elections is standing up for voters and candidates when potential illegal activities occur in Texas elections:

  • True Texas Elections joined in filing a complaint regarding a Dallas county 2018 November federal election

  • True Texas Elections filed a complaint related to the Texas Secretary of State's office incorrectly interpreting and/or waiving election laws related to manual recounts in Midland county.

  • True Texas Elections filed a complaint regarding the Texas Secretary of State's office providing waivers inconsistent with mandatory consecutive paper ballot numbering laws for Bexar, Travis, Denton, Collin, Midland, and other counties.
In 2019, voters took to the courts to file civil actions in Dallas and Midland county and True Texas Elections provided expert data analysis for those cases.
True Texas Elections provided much needed statistical data analysis and election tabulation security consulting for the following civil actions:

  • Writ of Mandamus - Multiple Dallas voters allege a pattern of election illegalities by Dallas Elections and Dr. Pressley of True Texas Elections is an expert witness.

  • Election Contest - A Dallas voter is contesting a 2019 Dallas County $1.1Billion bond election and Dr. Pressley of True Texas Elections is an expert witness on the extensive case.


Recall the infamous election quote, "It doesn't matter who votes, it matter who counts the votes." True Texas Elections is laser focused on helping counties, voters, candidates and PACs ensure the computerized vote count is done correctly and legally.
  • True Texas Elections provided critical training for hundreds of official central counting station watchers so they can effectively monitor their county's computerized tabulations on election night

  • True Texas Elections trained watchers in: Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Fort Worth, Austin, Collin, Williamson, Galveston, Hays, Hood, Bastrop, Midland, Parker, Burnet, Kaufman, Navarro, Hill, Anderson, Llano, Ellis and more
Over the last four years, True Texas Elections founder, Dr. Laura Pressley, Ph.D., has given over 400 invited presentations, testimonies and interviews on election integrity.
  • Testified to Texas Senate and House Elections Committees

  • Worked with Texas State Senators, Texas House Representatives, county officials, Republican Party of Texas SREC's, county chairs, and precinct chairs

  • Presented to numerous political and non-political clubs all over the state and joined JoAnn Fleming's 2019 Grassroots America - We The People, "Protect Your Vote Texas Tour"

  • As a result of Dallas County Republican Party's Executive Committee's election integrity work, they reported that the Election Assistance Commission (formerly the Federal Elections Commission) is coming to examine the administration of Dallas County’s new vote centers for the 2020 elections.

  • Susan Fountain, Texas State Republican Executive Committee Woman (SREC) for Senate District 16, has emphasized, “In the absence of any election integrity legislation passing in the 86th Legislature, it is imperative that we be wary and aware of massive changes to our election processes in Dallas County. It is critical that we cooperate with and welcome the Election Assistance Commission’s intervention to ensure our tabulations are above reproach.”

  • Multiple County Chairs are pressing for improved and comprehensive election security language in their 2019 Primary contracts with county officials.
True Texas Elections' founder, Dr. Laura Pressley, is first and foremost a Christian and works with multiple Judaeo-Christian organizations and clubs to stand up and ensure honest elections happen around the state.
  • Forebodingly, there is a New Testament scripture applicable to our work, "the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient." (1 Timothy 1:9).

  • Dr. Pressley and True Texas Elections works with churches and organizations to pray for honest and fair elections that strictly follow all our Texas Constitutional, Election Code, and Administrative Code provisions, laws and rules.
Dr. Laura Pressley, founder of True Texas Elections, LLC, holds a Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the University of Texas at Austin, and holds 4 US Patents in semiconductor device technology. She filed an historic election integrity case in the Texas Supreme Court with evidence of electronic vote tabulation corruption:
