National Youth Sports Week
It’s National Youth Sports Week , which runs annually between July 15 – 21.
Given our mission to encourage  and promote fair play, education, and the benefits of abuse-free sport for youth, we have highlighted National Youth Sports Week in two new informative blog articles.
In our first article, we highlight the work done by the  National Council of Youth Sports (NCYS)  to promote the advancement of youth sports by focusing on P.L.A.Y.S. — Physical Activity, Living Healthy, Access, Youth Development, and Safety.

Next, we cover the myriad of benefits offered by youth sports, and explain why the focus should always be on fun, rather than winning or specialized skill development. We also provide a list of expert-approved tips about how to encourage and support child athletes, and how to keep youth sports fun.
