2019 HPRCT Conference

This year’s HPRCT Conference promises to be one of the most dynamic, interactive, and useful conferences ever. Our planning team will be offering opportunities for different style presentations , a variety of new networking experiences , and some unique breakout sessions to enhance your ability to walk away with practical, useful ways to enhance the operating performance of your company.

In support of this year’s theme, we are looking for abstracts that provide useful information for both novices and experienced professionals in the following fields:

· Optimizing Human Performance (HP)

· Understanding and Addressing the Causes of Things That Go Wrong (RC)

· Using Metrics to Monitor Performance Improvement (T)

· Establishing a High Reliability, Resilient Organization (HRO)

We are looking for case studies, practical applications, best practices, learning’s from industry-shaping events, as well as leading edge thoughts and ideas in the above categories.

Talks can either be presented to our morning General Sessions, where all will be in attendance – or in one of several breakout sessions during the afternoon – or in half or full-day workshops -- or in a new POSTER SESSION that we’ll be trying this year.

We are also soliciting abstracts for half or full day workshops.

The deadline for these Abstracts is January 31 ^st , 2019. THIS IS A FIRM DEADLINE.

Submitters will be contacted by February 23 ^rd to inform them of acceptance or rejection.

What is a Poster Session?

Poster Sessions are an opportunity for interested parties to present their work or thoughts in an informal context. It’s a great way for the inhibited to dip their toe into the conference-presentation waters. Unlike a traditional session, all the posters are set up at once, and each presenter is expected to stand with their poster for the entirety of the session to answer questions from passers-by.

The advantage of this format is that it can be a lot less intimidating to be a part of than a general or breakout session. First-time attendees, including students are welcome to become part of this Poster Session – as well as long-time attendees and vendors. All or most Poster Session Abstracts will be accepted .

Our plan

We plan on having one formal, 50-minute Poster Session, either in the morning or afternoon of the 2 ^nd day of the conference. We will encourage posters to be left standing for the duration of the conference for follow-up questions and discussions during breaks.

The posters will be displayed in the same area as any vendor booths, creating energy and interest outside of the main conference rooms.

Poster providers will be given an opportunity to give a 1-minute introduction to their topic in front of the General Session at various times on Day 1. Although not required, this will help attendees know which poster presentations to observe during the formal, 50-minute Poster Session on Day 2.

If you are interested

Interested parties should fill-in our Abstract Template, checking the option for “Poster Session.”

Posters should be 36x42 inches, and self-standing. Poster creators need to be stationed at their poster for the entire length of the Poster Session. You will be able to set up your posters after Day 1 sessions are complete. You will be asked to take down your posters at the end of Day 3.

Tables for placement of posters will be provided. Power (AC) will not be supplied.
