ANNOUNCING THE 2019 MAOTEEN COMPETITION PANEL OF JUDGES

Meet the panel that will select Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2020 live in Orlando, Florida at the Linda Chapin Theater in the Orange County Convention Center

Tampa, FL (July 16, 2019) - The MAOTeen Organization announced today the distinguished panel of judges that will have the tough job of narrowing the field of 51 to just 1...MAOTeen 2020!

From preliminary competition to the event finals, these judges will be looking for the young lady that represents the best of America's outstanding teens.

Here is the judging panel who will select Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2020:

Caitlin Brunell-Moore
Representing Virginia, Caitlin Brunell-Moore became the third Miss America's Outstanding Teen at age 15. She went on to be crowned Miss Alabama in 2014, and competed at Miss America, placing in the Top 10 and winning the Quality of Life Award for her work with "Caitlin's Closet", the non-profit she founded in 2006. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Science Degree in Dance from the University of Alabama and a Master of Science Degree in Non-Profit Management from the New School in New York City. She now resides in London with her husband and stepdaughter.

Dr. Willie L. Hill Jr.
Dr. Willie L. Hill Jr.  recently retired as Director of the Fine Arts Center at the University of Massachusetts/Amherst and Professor in Music Education after a 20-year tenure. He received his B.S. degree from Grambling State University and earned his M.M. and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Colorado at Boulder, where he later served as Assistant Dean at the College of Music. In 2001, he received the prestigious Lawrence Berk Leadership Award from the International Association for Jazz Education. He is listed in the first edition of Who's Who Among Black Americans and Who's Who Among International Musicians.

 
Margot Menzel
Margot Menzel  began her career in the entertainment industry 20 years ago in San Francisco at the Marla Dell Agency. Moving to Los Angeles, she became a theatrical agent for CESD Talent Agency, where she launched the young careers of such stars as Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, and Jennifer Lawrence. Having worked at some of the best-known entertainment companies in Hollywood, she is now a talent manager at Luber Roklin Entertainment.


Susan Davis Baldino
Susan Davis Baldino  teaches graduate seminars in museum studies for Florida State University and is Arts4All Florida Program Coordinator for the 18-county panhandle and Big Bend area. As an advocate for persons with disabilities, she has curated five exhibitions in the "Artists and Autism" series and organized numerous programs that feature the talents of students and adults of all abilities. Susan holds a Ph.D. in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester (UK). 

 
Candace M. Read
A Georgia native, Candace M. Read received her BFA Degree in Dance at Valdosta State University and later studied at the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance, but after an internship with the New York City Ballet, she decided to pursue a career in fashion, earning a M.A. in Fashion and Luxury Management from Savannah College of Art & Design. She is now a Wardrobe Stylist in Columbus, Ohio, and her style blog has led to her recognition as a top style influencer. 

 
Jeffrey C. McDermott
Jeffrey C. McDermott  serves as President/CEO of the nonprofit Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel, Indiana, and the affiliated Great American Songbook Foundation, which maintains a vast archive of items detailing the history of America's timeless popular music. The Center's mission is to inspire the community through enriching arts experiences and to provide educational programming for people of all ages. For 31 years, Jeff was a partner and practicing attorney with Kreig DeVault LLP, where he still serves as Senior Counsel.
