Dear LIFE Moderators:
This summer we are excited to host your school/parish at Marianist LIFE 2019. The Coordinating Teams have been meeting since the winter to prepare to minister with you. As you have noticed, we have moved to a digital registration platform, which will allow us to be more efficient in processing each student and moderator registration. Please see the links at the end of this email to access the adult registration form, student welcome letter, and student registration form. These links are also available online at Click on "Summer LIFE."
Schools and parishes are responsible to coordinate their own transportation to the airport (if flying is necessary) or to the retreat center (if the group is driving). If you and your students are traveling by air, please book flights to ensure you and students are present for the entire program. Below is some general travel information.
LIFE Pacific - CYO Retreat Center (Occidental, CA)
Moderators: June 13-21
Flying: arrive at SFO no later than 10 am on June 13; depart SFO after 7 pm on June 21
Driving: arrive at CYO no later than 11:30 am on June 13; depart on June 21 after 3 pm
Students: June 16-21 (Coordinating teams will provide travel details for students)
Due to the intense schedule and nature of Moderator Days and the summer program,
Marianist LIFE does not allow Coordinating Team members' and/or Moderators' friends or family members to visit. Guests, family and friends are encouraged to attend the Marianist Family Gathering during Moderators Days. You will receive information from the Coordinating team soon.

The purpose of Marianist LIFE Moderator Days is:
  • To model the very essence and mission of Marianist LIFE by building small communities of faith prior to the students' arrivals
  • To participate in faith formation experiences that help create healthy small faith communities for high school students to model throughout their LIFE week experience
  • As a first-time moderator, to become familiar with Marianist LIFE and the various components, materials and activities that take place throughout the program
  • As a returning moderator, to be notified of any program changes, to assist first-time moderators, and to continue building community
