OUR THANKSGIVING INITIATIVE IS HERE!
Our annual Thanksgiving Initiative provides "all the makings of the meal" for an abundant table. Families can enjoy a turkey roasting, an apple pie baking, and the medley of aromas that signal holiday is happening here!
Thanksgiving Initiative
An enthusiastic army of volunteers help to organize, pack and distribute holiday meals grocery bags for over 200 Food Pantry households.

In 2018, a record number of Nutley residents, civic organizations, church groups and businesses, generously donated all the items necessary to create a memorable and nourishing holiday meal. We look forward to another successful effort.

In order to be as efficient as possible and ensure that there is a supply of each item for our “holiday grocery bag menu” we again are using an online sign-up roster for donations. Small turkeys and gift cards are especially appreciated.

NFSB is proud to bring our community together, connecting those who are in a position to give with those who are in a position to receive. Wishing everyone a warm and wonderful Thanksgiving.

Please, donate food online to NFSB’s Thanksgiving Initiative! CLICK HERE to go to our Food Donation landing page. You can enter what you intend to donate, or find out which items might be more needed. Thank you again for your generosity and support!

WHAT PHOBIAS CAN TEACH US ABOUT OURSELVES
The Things We Get Spooked About...
Phobias

Biologically, fear is our defense against threat, but psychologically, it creates a very unpleasant state of mind,

Still, there are many times when we seek out fear intentionally. We like to scare ourselves a little, especially from a safe distance.

Case in point: Halloween. But there is a darker side to fear, and when it becomes overwhelming, paralyzing, and unyielding to any kind of common sense, there is an even darker side: Phobias.
