THE SHOP IS OPEN!
The Shop is now open at the newly redeveloped NFSB Annex.
The Shop At NFSB
The Shop at NFSB seeks to redefine thrifting. Located at 169 Chestnut Street, the light filled space maximizes store functions. Importantly too, The Shop provides an enjoyable experience for those who are browsing while maintaining value buying. The new venue enables expanded and diversified selections: upscale seasonal clothes and wearable accessories, an array of household items, small furniture pieces, and vintage or hard to find inventory from the practical (such as stemware and lamps) to the whimsical (such as costume jewelry & holiday decorations) are available.

2019 SCOUTING FOR FOOD DRIVE!
Nutley Scouts have a record-breaking food drive.
Scouting For Food Drive
On March 30th, Nutley Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts conducted a food drive of non-perishables to benefit NFSB Food Pantry, and smashed last year's effort with a record of over 34,000 items! The town-wide collection, under the direction of Walt Smith, Pack 141 Chairman, was carried out by Boy Scout Troop 147, and Cub Scout Packs 141 & 142 with the help of a host of supporters: their families, troop & pack leaders, Nutley ShopRite and Trader Joe's, and of course, the robust contributions of Nutley residents. The Franklin Reformed Church generously provided the location to receive items and store them temporarily and Nutley Dept. of Parks and Recreation has offered access to space for overflow. In addition, an army of volunteers will put in hundreds of man hours in the following weeks to sort the items on cite & transfer them to the Food Pantry. NFSB salutes the Scouts and all of those who made this immense effort possible!

ONLY 4 DAYS UNTIL "A NIGHT AT THE RACES"!
They're off to the races for an NFSB Benefit Event.
 A Night At The Races
Join us at A Night at the Races, a benefit for Nutley Family Service Bureau, to be off and running at the Nutley Elks Lodge, on Saturday, April 13th, at 7:00 pm. Sponsor a race, play your favorite horse, and win chances for terrific prizes! The event ticket includes a pasta dinner, horse race tickets and so much more. It promises to be an event to remember with audience participation and viewing prerecorded races! Proceeds go to furthering NFSB's mission of strengthening the emotional and social well-being of individuals and families through affordable mental health counseling and social service programs.

WHAT'S A PARENT OF A TEEN TO DO?
When emotional chaos is swirling around an adolescent's brain, what's a parent to do? The following article may provide some helpful insight.
Teen Article
Trying to help a deeply upset teenager — perhaps one undone by a social slight or flipping out about an upcoming test — is among the most common and stressful challenges in all of parenting. Amid all that stress, it’s easy for well-meaning adults to make missteps. More often than not, we jump in with earnest questions or suggestions: “Any chance you did something that hurt your friend’s feelings?” or “Would it help if I quizzed you on what you’ve studied so far?” But, despite our best intentions, these efforts often seem to only agitate our teenagers further.
