2019 National TB Conference 

The 2019 National TB Conference will be held in collaboration with the Association of Public Health Laboratories (APHL), and this year's conference theme is Innovate, Implement, Impact. For more information on the conference, see the conference web page .

Abstract Submission Platform
We thank you for your patience while we worked with Cvent to finalize the new abstract submission platform. Technical work on our new platform is now complete, and the abstract submission platform is available for your use.

Relevant Topics
We welcome the submission of abstracts for poster presentation on all aspects of tuberculosis control. Relevant topics include TB epidemiology, clinical, basic sciences, nursing, social, behavioral, psychosocial, education and training, and outcomes of program initiatives.

 Poster and Oral Presentation Opportunities
The 2019 National TB Conference will kick off with an evening reception and poster discussion session on Tuesday, April 23. This special session, devoted to exploring the work of your colleagues, will elevate the visibility of the posters and the great work being conducted throughout all levels of TB control/elimination efforts.

Posters will remain up for viewing throughout the conference.

High-scoring abstracts may be invited to be presented during the general sessions at the 2019 National TB Conference.
Abstract Submission Instructions
Abstracts must be received by February 1, 2019 and submitted using the online abstract submission platform .

Please follow the following length and language guidelines:
  • Limit words to 350 or less (title and authors not inclusive in word count)
  • Abstracts must be in English.
  • NTCA is committed to stigma-free language, and the use of non-stigmatizing language is expected in the abstract for poster presentation. During the review process, if stigmatizing language is identified, authors will be encouraged to substitute stigmatizing language for non-stigmatizing terms.

Please make sure to include the following in your abstract: 
  1. Descriptive title, list of authors, and affiliations (does not count toward word limit)
  2. Background/statement of problem/objectives of the analysis
  3. Methods
  4. Results/key findings
  5. Conclusions

Abstract Scoring Criteria
Abstracts will be reviewed and accepted on the basis of on-time receipt and quality, originality, methodology, and relevance to TB control/elimination, as determined by the Abstract Committee.

Every effort will be made to notify the submitting author about abstract acceptance by February 15, 2019.
