The New York International Automobile Show welcomes electric vehicle maker, Rivian and its highly anticipated Electric Adventure Vehicles™ - the R1T 5-passenger pickup and the R1S 7-passenger SUV. With up to 400+ miles in electric range, a wading depth of more than 3 feet, unique lockable storage and the performance and precise control of quad-motor AWD, Rivian vehicles are the ultimate platform for experiencing life's adventures. The R1T and R1S can reach 60 mph in 3 seconds and 100 mph in less than 7 seconds. Both vehicles will be built at Rivian's manufacturing facility in Normal, IL.

In addition to Rivian, NYIAS is adding other new automakers to the 2019 Show and will feature more than 50 world and North American vehicle debuts during press preview days.

"We're launching Rivian with two vehicles that re-imagine the pickup and SUV segments," said Rivian Founder and CEO RJ Scaringe. "I started Rivian to deliver products that the world didn't already have - to redefine expectations through the application of technology and innovation. We've spent years developing the technology to deliver the ideal vehicle for active customers - this includes exceptional driving dynamics on any surface, on- or off-road, cargo solutions for easily storing any type of gear, whether it's a surfboard or a fishing rod and, very importantly, the ability to drive long distances on a single charge."
