2019 YEAR IN REVIEW

THANK YOU FOR MAKING POSSIBLE MORE THAN A QUARTER MILLION DOLLARS IN APPROVED GRANTS

In 2019, the Phoenix Police Foundation (PPF) approved over a quarter-million dollars in grants benefiting the Phoenix Police Department, its employees, and the citizens of Phoenix. All of this made possible with private funding.  Some examples include $79,000 for equipment and technology, $27,000 for Phoenix Police Department sponsored youth programs, $7,300 for employee recognition, and over $126,000 in financial assistance.

The PPF approved $79,000 in equipment and technology grants in 2019, filling a wide range of unmet capital needs of the Phoenix Police Department. See some examples below.

In-Kind donation of fitness equipment from Life Time Fitness

Youth Programs The Phoenix Police Foundation approved more than $27,000 for Phoenix PD Youth Programs with significant funding from Motorola Solutions.

Employee Recognition

Each year the PPF funds the department's Pride in our Heroes Award Ceremony, where officers are recognized for their fantastic work. Financial Assistance

The PPF funded $126,000 in financial assistance in 2019. These funds benefited the family of Fallen Officer Paul Rutherford, sending fallen K9 Bane's handler to Police Week, and Employee Emergency Relief Fund grant requests. 100% of donations received by the PPF for Fallen Officer Rutherford when directly to the family.
