Dear National Human Resources Association Members:
Thank you for your continued membership in the National HR Association. I am honored to be your President for the 2019-2020 year, and am excited to build on the successes of Past President Jamie Latiano Jacobs and the rich, sixty-seven-year history of the National HR Association.
PROFESSIONAL & PERSONAL BENEFITS
Through the many years I have been involved with NHRA I’ve connected and collaborated with many premier professionals in the field, which has enabled me to gain valuable insights and grow my base of knowledge and skills. I have also benefited personally from the friendships that have developed over time. Each year, I am excited to make new connections and new friends. As President, I am excited to lead NHRA as we empower others to gain the same experience I have enjoyed as a member.
ALL VOLUNTEER
Our premier HR organization continues to grow through the dedication and commitment of visionary volunteers. We have an amazing group of volunteers at each of the local Affiliates serving on boards and committees and
helping to create events and opportunities that connect and develop us as HR leaders. We also have an amazing group of volunteers at the National level working with the Affiliate leadership to lead our organization. I encourage you to get to know your local and national leaders
STRATEGIC GROWTH
NHRA is a unique organization that provides a differentiated opportunity for members to connect and collaborate in the communities we serve.
I am looking forward to continuing to
build on our foundation
. As you know, we have launched a new website
www.humanresources.org
.
While we continue to work through challenges with a new launch, the new platform will provide us the building blocks for continued growth. I am also excited that we have engaged an association management company that will be helping us with Association Management, Executive Services and Board Support, Membership Support Services, Marketing and Communications, Website and Conference Management. That have great experience in helping organizations like ours and a talented staff with diverse skills that we can call upon for support in the various areas. The main point of contact will be Christy Stabber (
christy@nonprofitresources.us
; 605-787-3229.) We also extend a heartfelt thank you to Lynne Perry for her many years of dedicated service and wish her the best in her retirement.
With a solid foundation, we can to look for
strategic growth opportunities
to expand our reach and provide other areas access to the unique community NHRA creates. One of our newest affiliates, Silicon Valley, has gotten a great response from the local HR community and continues to grow and bring value to its members.
One of our key differentiators is creating an environment that includes a strategic ratio of vendors. We will continue to
engage with strategic vendor partners
that contribute to our community, partner in our growth, and are consistent with our brand promise of protecting our members from solicitation and protecting our membership data.
With a new website and new support from our association management company, I believe we will become more of a
strategic voice and influencer
in the broader HR community.
President-Elect Giulia Molisani and I are excited about all of the great work being executed across our affiliate network and are grateful to serve in these leadership roles over the next year. We also extend great appreciation to Jamie Latiano Jacobs for her leadership and vision over the past year.
GET CONNECTED
Please encourage your network to get involved in their professional community and enjoy the benefits of membership. Also, consider getting involved with an Affiliate or National committee, liking us on Facebook, joining our LinkedIn group, or starting a dialogue by emailing us at
