The Archdiocese of Newark
RECAP of the
2019 Rosary Congress
|
A remarkable, unified effort of prayer occurred in our Archdiocese
from October 6th through October 13th!
7 Days & 7 Nights
of Holy Mass, Perpetual Adoration and Rosary
|
|
|
"The Rosary is a never-ending treasure and meditation on the life of Christ, the Word of God, through His mother's eyes. In a very real way, it is the Bible on beads. As the first adorer, the first disciple and the garden of God, Mary always leads us directly to Jesus."
Marie Liddy

“There is no Christian without devotion to the Virgin Mary. Our faith comes from the Fiat and like Mary we are also called to say yes to The Lord so that he can accomplish what he has in store for us.”

"The Rosary Congress was a labor of love and the result of a simple yes to Mary... it was a response of love - a powerful experience of falling deeper in love and trust with the Sacred and Eucharistic Heart of Jesus through our Lady of the Most Blessed Sacrament and her Rosary."

The Rosary Congress at St. Aloysius attracted adorers of the Blessed Sacrament all day on the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary. From early and noontime Massgoers to adorers who stayed in the church to pray all day; from Trinity Academy students presenting roses to Mary while praying a Children’s Rosary to CCD teens thrilled to receive their new Rosaries; to friends from neighboring parishes and families who joined the Miraculous Medal Novena, Family Rosary for Life & Peace and bilingual procession, the congress struck a chord with many and was a clear expression of the faithful’s steadfast love of Our Blessed Mother and desire to pray intensely at this time.

|
Twelve hours of Adoration at St. Aloysius culminated in a bilingual candlelight Rosary procession up the hill to the Sr. Mary Dominic Tweedus Chapel at Caldwell University. A peaceful nocturnal
vigil
in the new chapel extended Adoration in the town to 24 hours anointing the campus through the morning light.

“Our parish had the grace of beginning rosary prayers before the Blessed Sacrament on the Feast of Our Lady of Rosary. It was a joy to see the number of parishioners who participated to pray the rosary.”

“I found the Rosary Congress to be very spiritually moving and it was amazing to see how it brought together the diversity of our parishioners with the great mission to pray the Rosary. We prayed for Cardinal Tobin, our bishops and priests and for the entire Archdiocese of Newark."

"Many thanks to you and your team for bringing the 2019 Rosary Congress to the Newark Archdiocese. It was very well received at St. Paul’s, Ramsey – the feedback was wonderful and the parishioners were very appreciative for the opportunity to participate. Our participation included 130+ hourly Adorers plus 70 rosarians attending the Living Rosary honoring Our Lady of Fatima, that took place as we were concluding the Rosary Congress."

"The opportunity to gather so many of the faithful during this month of the Rosary was a grace that continues to reverberate throughout the hearts of those who participated. Who knows, perhaps even more in the lives of all the people in the Archdiocese. I believe that this spiritual gift to Our Lord and Our Lady was more their gift to us.
“Lord – thank You for blessing us in these days of vigil and prayer. Dear Mother Mary – intercede for us ‘now and at the our of our death’.”
May the Lord’s blessing draw us more closely to Him and may our Lady’s intercession help us proclaim the Lord always and everywhere."
