World Intellectual Property Day!

MCR wishes all of our friends and clients a very productive World IP Day. In 2000, the member states of the World International Patent Office ("WIPO") designated April 26 - the day on which the WIPO Convention came into force in 1970 - as World IP Day. This is a day dedicated to learning about the role that intellectual property rights play in every patent, trademark, industrial design and copyright.

Each year companies all over the world host events centered on the theme set forth by WIPO. This year's theme is "Reach for Gold: IP and Sports. It explores how innovation, creativity and IP rights encourage and protect them as well as support the development of sports and their enjoyment around the world.
