Friends and Colleagues,
Good Afternoon! Although this week is probably a short work week for most, our AIA Cleveland members are still working hard on our summer programming schedule. We have two committee meetings scheduled for this week followed up by our annual Speakers on the Square event one week from today. Be sure to register (it is free to attend) for this exciting evening to discuss all things sustainable in Cleveland. This program includes (2) HSW and LEED GBCI credits.

There are only a few weeks left to register for this year's Sand Fest and Golf Outing events, both in early August. Our Sand Fest castle and volleyball registrations are filling up quickly and we are pleased to welcome so many new teams to this year's field. Even if you don't have a team registered we encourage you to stop by with your friends and family to enjoy the day's festivities. The Golf Outing is nearing capacity, so if you want to participate, register now so you won't be shut out!

Finally, as we continue to roll out details with regards to the 2019 Cleveland Design Awards, we are pleased to share more information on the Architectural Photography category. Visit the Architectural Photography image link below to read more. It's never too soon to get out and start taking your photos, but remember, they must be of Northeast Ohio. This category is open to all members and non-members and this year's prize money has nearly doubled!

2019 AIA Conference on Architecture
Last month, AIA Cleveland continued its support of AIAS Kent State by once again providing a stipend for an AIAS member to attend the 2019 AIA National Conference on Architecture. This year's recipient was William Maniet, AIAS. William will be a third-year student this fall and he serves as the AIAS Kent State Treasurer. Please take a moment to read all about Will's experience in Las Vegas for his first ever National Conference.
