Deadlines for four different 2020-2021 cohorts
Even as most of us work and teach from home, there are unique opportunities to further our academic careers. If you are interested in academic leadership or innovation in teaching and learning, the following fellowship opportunities offer extraordinary chances to learn, grow, and lead.

AAN Leadership Fellows - March 26 deadline
This year-long experience is open to faculty and academic staff who are interested in learning about diverse leadership roles. We anticipate that approximately five fellows will be individually matched with current administrators at MSU who will serve as mentors.

Lilly Fellows - April 1 deadline
As the current moment shows us, the core educational mission of MSU is an important path to leadership. Consider the experience of the past few weeks as a way to think about leadership development and teaching and learning needs at MSU.

The goal of the 2020-2021 program is to develop academic leaders who will guide the University into the near future with regard to learning, teaching, and educational programming.

Adams Academy - April 1 deadline
The program brings together a cross-disciplinary group of faculty and academic staff for a year-long fellowship focused on teaching and learning. Adams Academy participants explore the literature on effective university teaching and learning practices and consider how this robust body of research can be used to guide instructional decisions in the courses they teach.

Criteria for selection include evidence of the applicant’s interest in and commitment to teaching and learning, potential to be an excellent te acher, and potential and willingness to serve as a mentor and advocate for excellent teaching among peers.
