Garces Family,
As the school year approaches, we are busy preparing and planning to ensure our campus is safe and sanitary for our Garces students and staff.
We want to keep you updated on what we have been doing in preperation for the reopening of our campus.
As of this week:
- Our admin team has walked through all classrooms and separated desks to at least six feet apart. Additional locations on campus will be utilized as classrooms to ensure plenty of space for social distancing.
- Plexiglass, signage and traffic flow markers have been purchased to be placed throughout campus.
- For those not comfortable sending their child back to campus yet, we have a plan that will include streaming classes. If this is the format you are interested in pursuing at this time, please email Principal Myka Peck.
- Every classroom has been supplied with infrared thermometers for temperature checks prior to the start of each class. If a student's temperature is above 100.4, he/she will be sent to the office, where he/she will have his/her temperature checked again. If his/her temperature is still 100.4 or above, he/she will be sent home.
- Teachers will have their temperatures checked at the start of each day.
- All coaches will be equipped with thermometers as well. Athletes will have their temperatures checked prior to the start of each practice. If his/her temperature is 100.4 or above, he/she will not be allowed to practice and will be sent home.
- Mask will be required at all times. They can be purchased through the student store. Students are allowed to wear their own masks, however, they must cover the nose and mouth.
- Sanitation plan was finalized and sent out on Monday, June 22nd. To review it, click here.
- As always, if your child is not feeling well, please keep him/her home for the safety of everyone.
Please continue to check your emails for more information on the upcoming year, including the bell schedule calendar, and the plan to keep our students safe during break and lunch.
We can't wait to see our Rams back on campus. We pray everyone is staying safe and healthy and you are all enjoying your summer break.
See you soon, and God bless.
