Garces Family,
We know many of you have been anxiously awaiting to hear how the upcoming school year will work. While the situation is still fluid, we wanted to let you know of our tentative plan.
As of now, we are planning to be back on campus for the first day of school, August 4th.
As you might expect, this school year will look different from years past. We have been working with the Diocese of Fresno to ensure we take the proper safety measures and are following social distancing guidelines upon our return to campus. We will release more information on what those changes will be soon.
Attached you will find a list of important dates for the school year. Please note that first-semester final exams will take place
BEFORE
Thanksgiving this year. Winter Break will begin the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, November 25th. We will return for the second semester on January 11th. We know many families will be traveling over the holiday season, so we have opted to have an extra-long break to help protect our Garces community from any potential exposure to COVID-19. This was a diocesan decision to protect the safety and health of our students and staff. A letter with more details will be sent out on Friday from
Superintendent Ms. Mona Faulkner.
We are so excited to see all our Rams back on campus soon. Please keep an eye out for additional information regarding the 2020-2021 school year. We pray you are enjoying your time with family and are staying healthy. God bless.
