Good Afternoon Parents,

This is an exciting time for us at East T-STEM Academy High School.

Despite all the challenges we have faced with school closures as a result of COVID 19, our teachers have continued to provide enrichment and engaging instruction using a variety of online platforms. As we prepare to close out the 2019-20 school year, we are also preparing for 2020-21.

for the 2020-21 school year.

East T-STEM program supports the schools’ mission statement by presenting a rigorous, college-preparatory curriculum that encourages students to think independently, learn collaboratively and communicate effectively.

Our academic program fosters thinkers who learn and understand traditional and emerging disciplines, master skills essential to achievement in college and beyond, and embody vital attitudes and qualities of mind including curiosity, love of learning, and a commitment to what is right and true.

The courses in the 2020-21 Course Selection Guide represent an advancement in the schools’ curriculum, combining a series of foundational required core courses with a deep and varied range of electives across the disciplines: STEM, humanities (combining English and history), mathematics, science, world languages, and fine arts. The courses designed for freshmen and sophomores are skills-based and cross-disciplinary.

Building on the skills students develop during their first two years at East T-STEM Academy, courses for juniors and seniors introduce students to college-level advanced study and research.

In all that we do, we aim to apply teaching and assessment practices that maximize learning for all students. ALL courses at EAST T-STEM are more rigorous and thus carry an Honors, Advanced Placement (AP) or Dual Enrollment designation. Honors courses differ from standard sections of a course by incorporating depth and advanced content.
