CANCELLED
2020 American Indian & Alaska Native National Behavioral Health Conference
Due to concerns around the spread of the COVID-19 virus and response efforts taking place National Indian Health Board (NIHB) has decided to cancel the 2020 American Indian & Alaska Native National Behavioral Health Conference that was scheduled for June 23-25, 2020. NIHB is committed to improving behavioral and mental health in Indian Country and that has helped to guide our decision to cancel the Behavioral Health Conference so that providers, CHRs, counselors, advocates and the many others that provide behavioral and mental health services throughout Indian Country can focus on the behavioral and mental health needs of their communities during this time.

We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause. We also sincerely hope that you will plan on joining NIHB next year for 2021 American Indian & Alaska Native National Behavioral Health Conference. In addition, NIHB also will refocusing some its behavioral health work on ensuring Tribal Communities and citizens are informed about COVID-19 and its impacts on behavioral and mental health. We will be sending out updates on resources and tools to assist with the COVID-19 response. For up to date information on COVID-19, please see NIHB’s website,  www.nihb.org .

NIHB also publishes a weekly Public Health Broadcast to keep Tribal leaders, public health program directors, providers, and advocates up to date on the latest news impacting Indian health. Sign-up here .
