2020 Ascent Youth Film Fest: An Inspired View of Today's World FILM ENTRIES DUE JUNE 30 Teenagers can share their vision of the upside down world of social isolation in YouthZone's upcoming Youth Film Fest. The film fest is open to anyone 12 to 17 years old, and films or slide shows can include acting, dance, poetry, photography, music or other forms of expression to share the impact on youth of living in a world with a pandemic and the possibilities they envision for the future. The youth-inspired films will be shown during the Ascent's film festival in mid-September. To have a film included, a young contributor must fill out this application here . Films are due June 30. Youth Powered Restorative Justice Summit May 20 In partnership with Roaring Fork Leadership, YouthZone is offering a digital space for teenagers from Aspen to Parachute to explore issues that impact their lives and speak to ways they can contribute to their communities. Parenting From Six Feet Away, A Survival Guide YouthZone interactive webinars give parents advice during stay-at-home restrictions Next webinar: May 28 Kate Eakins, Illuminating Wellness Kate will share tips with parents and teens on physical, spiritual and emotional self-care. Mental Health Awareness Month

SEIZE THE AWKARD MUSIC VIDEO ENCOURAGES YOU TO TALK ABOUT OUR MENTAL HEALTH The current COVID-19 environment of enforced isolation and separation from peers and activities can leave many teens struggling. YouthZone helps kids engage to ease the depression and anxiety that come from our lack of control in this stressful pandemic environment. Two certified counselors on YouthZone staff work with our young clients to deal with their reactions now and with the delayed response that will show up in the months to come. YouthZone offers digital Life Skills classes YouthZone clients can get credit hours with our on-line Life Skills classes. Use your spare time while stuck at home to complete your UPS hours by working through these assignments created by Vallee Noone.
