COMMERCIAL ADVOCACY UPDATE
St. Louis City-County Unification

Unite STL , which was the campaign arm pushing the Better Together plan, pulled their proposed constitutional amendment. The Better Together effort is now working on how to proceed and is likely to take a different path forward. The Municipal League is still pursuing a Board of Freeholders. The St. Louis REALTORS ® Advocacy Committee has created a “St. Louis City-County Government Reform Task Force” to look into what St. Louis REALTORS ® would like to see from any plan. Also, the Advocacy committee changed the 2019 Policy Agenda to change the policy priority from “St. Louis City-County Unification” to “St. Louis City-County Government Reform” and to remove references to consolidation in the policy position.

Missouri Legislative Session

The Missouri Legislative session ended on May 17. No legislative action was taken to restart or reform the Low-Income Housing Tax Credits. For a full session wrap-up, read more HERE.
