* Basics for Christian Living
On February 19th, we'll launch a new discipleship class that deals with the essential elements of the Christian life. Whether you are new to your Christian faith or need to solidify some foundational matters in order to share with others, this class will be an excellent tool. The class will be led by Steve Wilson and will meet in C101 at 6:00 pm.

*Discover Hillcrest
On March 1st and 8th, the inaugural offering of the Discover Hillcrest class will meet in the Missions Room at 9:15am. Though required for membership at Hillcrest, the class is not solely intended for new members. It is a 2-week offering that covers the core values of HBC and how we express those in our various ministries. If you are new to Hillcrest, it is an excellent opportunity to ask questions and begin building some new relationships. Come join us in the Missions Room behind the big oak tree!

Preschool/Children's Ministry

I Love My Teacher Banquet!
The I Love My Teacher Banquet is Tuesday, February 25 in the Fellowship Hall from 6pm until 7pm. Kindergarteners through 6th graders are invited to attend with their teachers for a fun evening of food and entertainment. (Any teacher may be invited - school, church, homeschool. Children may also invite more than one if they would like.) Children may be dropped off for this event but please walk your child inside and help them locate their teacher before leaving. Invitations will be mailed by the end of January and extras will be available in the church office or at the desks on the 2nd and 3rd floors of F Building. We are looking forward to sharing this fun evening with you!

"GA and Mission Friends Day"
Join us on Saturday, February 8 from 10 - 12:30 for GA and Mission
Friends Day! All GAs, 1st - 6th grade, and Mission Friends, 2 years old through kindergarten classes, are invited to attend. Children will work on mission projects and have lunch together. Sign up sheets will be available on Wednesday nights so let us know if you plan to attend.

Mom's Night Out
Mom's Night Out is Thursday, February 27 from 6pm-8pm in the Fellowship Hall. Moms of all ages are invited and childcare is provided. This month we will have a painting class taught by Erin Sellers. The cost is $10 per person. Due to the type of activity we have planned, RSVPs are due by February 24!

Schedule Note
Awana and Kid's Sunday Night Bible Study (previously Awana) will not meet on Sunday, February 16 due to the President's Day holiday.

Are you a souper hero?
We are looking for boys and girls that are up to the challenge! For the month of February we are collecting single servings of soup and other non-perishable items for John Yates' food ministry with First Baptist Church of Yazoo City, MS.
A list of items is provided. Their greatest need is single serving containers of soups and pastas with pop-tops (preferably nothing that needs a can opener or any ingredients other than water.)
Containers, divided by boys and girls, will be available on the 2nd and 3rd floors of F Building for the entire month. Let's see who can collect the most!
Items Needed: Instant oatmeal, cereal bars, pop-tarts, ravioli, mac and cheese, Vienna sausage, soup, ramen noodles, jerky sticks, crackers, cookies, granola bars, and fruit snacks. Please make sure all items are single serving packets or containers.

"I am a Christian Now"
Our next offering of "I am a Christian Now" class will be offered in March. This is available to any child who is a believer or may have questions regarding salvation. Classes will be on Sunday mornings during the 1st Sunday School hour, March 1, 8, 15, and 22. Children will meet in F309. Class size is limited to 12 children so sign up with the Children's Ministry office if you'd like your child to participate. Due to the type of curriculum we will be studying, children who sign up need to make sure they can attend all four classes.
