Anxious to turn the calendar page?
From the SW STEM Hub, the SW Regional STEM Advisory Board and the famous Adam 12 STEM Car, here's to a needed holiday break.
We are excited to convene again after the Holiday break refreshed and ready to get "STEMMING" again.
This holiday picture comes from the IKM-Manning Middle School where the Christmas Tree Cardboard Challenge Projects were displayed after their December 4th event.

The STEM Hub will be closed from December 23 through January 4, but please send emails or leave a message on the STEM Cell if there is a need to contact the staff.
Be safe and healthy and we will see you all in 2021!

A STEM Nod to the following partners who accepted the STEM Festival Challenge in our last newsletter!
  • Guthrie Center Elementary School partnered on a 2-week Festival in a take-home fashion that allowed 230 students challenges of all kinds in late November. Having their materials home with families will allow them to do a "FESTIVAL REFRESH" if needed in coming weeks. Great Job Amber Wetzel and Kristi Chance!
  • IKM-Manning Middle School Cardboard Challenge was an afternoon event that partnered with community organizations to receive the holiday themed decorations. Engineering, collaboration and materials management was essential for the 250 students to complete their work in the allotted time. All students had a visit by the Big Guy and Frosty the Snowman during the event and a good time was had by all.
  • First time Festival Partners Harlan Community Library and Eckels Library in Oakland are in-process with multi-week STEM Festival that will finish in late January. Partners came forward to develop and offer four themed units which conclude with a fun Olympic preparation experience, challenging and engaging families in activities and research.
