Girls Tier II/ III "A" & 14U "B" Reminders for State Play-In Games
|
|
Attention Coaches and Managers, please see below for important reminders regarding the Girls Tier II/Tier III Illinois State Hockey Championships Play-In Games. Thank you!
|
- All play-in games must be played between January 21st and February 14th.
- The home team is responsible for securing the ice slot and officials for the play-in games. This being said, reasonable ice slots must be offered to the visiting team. All requirements for requesting officials carry over to the State Tournament play-in games - Please USE THE STATE TOURNAMENT GREEN TAB when requesting these officials.
- The home team must inform the visiting team of the cost of the ice slot and officials. The visiting team must bring a check for half the cost of the ice slot and half the cost of the officials.
- The home team is responsible for notifying Anita Lichterman (girls@ahai2.org) and Michelle Lichterman (girlsbhc@ahai2.org) of the final score. Home team must also send a copy of the scoresheet via email.

2020 AMERICA'S SHOWCASE TEAM
|
|
Attention all sophomore, junior or senior high school age girls! If you have not yet committed to a college/university, America’s Showcase could be exactly what you need to help you reach the next chapter of your life. If you're wanting to play hockey in college, please consider registering for the 2020 Illinois Girls’ Showcase Team. Many NCAA DIII and ACHA coaches and scouts will be on hand in St. Louis looking for players to round out their teams.
America’s Showcase, previously known as the Chicago Showcase, has grown over the years and more girls than ever before from across the country come together to play in a showcase tournament in April. 2020 USA Hockey's Central District Girls Tryout Information
|
|
USA Hockey's Central District Girls Tryout for 2020 will be held at Arctic Ice Arena in Orland Park, Illinois, March 20-22, 2020. All USA Hockey registered female skaters that wish to try out for USA Hockey National Select Camps as well as the Central District Development Camp
MUST attend this tryout to be evaluated.
This is an OPEN camp; any female residing in the Central District (WI, IL, MO, KS, NE, IA) is eligible to participate. Last year, over 395 girls participated in the tryout. Registration opens at
www.centraldistricthockey.org on February 1, 2020 and closes on February 15, 2020.

Girls United Hockey recently kicked-off their second season at Triphahn Center Ice Arena in Hoffman Estates. Girls United Hockey is an AHAI initiative designed to introduce the game of hockey in a fun, low cost, low commitment, no pressure all-girls environment.
In addition to the Triphahn Center, Girls United has programs beginning Saturday, January 25 at the Robert Crown Ice Arena and Sunday, February 2 at Southwest Ice Arena.
