Dear Friends of the George C. Marshall International Center,
Happy New Year!  2019 was a banner year for the Marshall Center as we increased visitors by 36%! It was a joy for us to engage over 5,600 individuals through our speaker series, leadership seminars, public tours of the Marshalls’ historic Dodona Manor home, and to host case study experiences in classrooms.

Currently the George C. Marshall International Center is closed for public tours through the end of February as we do needed renovations, repairs, and technology upgrades.  We will re-open for Public Tours on Sunday, March 1 (1 – 5 p.m.) However, we are open for pre-scheduled Private Tours in January and February. Please contact Debra Jenkins at admin@georgecmarshall.org to schedule a Private Tour or phone her at 703.777.1301.

All of us at the George C. Marshall International Center are excited about 2020 and the impactful educational programs we have lined up.
We started off the year with a bang when we featured Ambassador Edward “Skip” Gnehm speaking at our Foreign Policy Brown Bag discussion on January 16 th. Over 50 guests attended to hear his insightful remarks on “ Clarifying the Middle East Mess.” Ambassador Gnehm was U.S. Ambassador to Kuwait, Jordan, and Australia, and also served as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense and Director General of the Foreign Service. He also served in Syria, Yemen, and Saudi Arabia. Currently he serves as a professor at George Washington University.

You may be interested in attending the upcoming Foreign Policy Book Club meeting at the George C. Marshall International Education Center on Wednesday, February 5 at noon. We will discuss the book A Woman of No Importance by Sonia Purnell. Please contact Debra Jenkins at admin@georgecmarshall.org for additional details or phone her at 703.777.1301.
