It's hard to believe that the 2020 Legislative Session is behind us after an an intense 71 days of work on behalf of the people of Maryland. This is the first time the General Assembly has adjourned early since the Civil War and it was a decision that was not made lightly.
While we may have adjourned Sine Die early, I am so proud of what we were able to achieve for Maryland's residents.
From quickly addressing the COVID-19 crisis to passing robust public safety legislation and making historic investments in our public education system, the Maryland General Assembly made the most of our time in Annapolis.

While the 2020 Legislative Session may be over, members of the General Assembly will immediately be convening the Joint COVID-19 Response Legislative Workgroup to provide oversight and support to the Administration in the coming weeks and months. We will give additional information about the Workgroup in days to come. The General Assembly will be back in Annapolis for a Special Session in the last week of May to take additional legislative steps to aid in the response to this crisis and the economic recovery.
