PLANNING AWARDS 

The APA Orange Section hosts an annual awards program to recognize and celebrate great planning work throughout Orange County. The program honors innovative plans and projects, distinguished individuals and other contributions to the planning profession. The awards program depends on the active participation of our members. If you've been involved with or are aware of a recent noteworthy planning project or activity, please consider submitting a nomination. The awards program nominations are voted on by a panel of experienced judges who are dedicated to highlighting the projects, plans, and people that demonstrate the power of great planning. Award recipients will be recognized at the annual Awards Program on Thursday May 14, 2020. The evening will highlight the award winners and celebrate the wonderful work being done in Orange County to create more livable, vibrant, and inclusive communities.

2020 CALL FOR NOMINATIONS

DUE MARCH 13th, 2020 

The 2020 APA Orange Section Awards call for nominations period is now open! We need your help in identifying and nominating outstanding planning projects, activities, and individuals in the Orange County region. Nominations will be accepted until Friday, March 13, 2020. Categories including awards for planners, elected officials and planning schools within Orange County. The 2020 Orange Section Award winners will be invited to proceed to the statewide competition.
 
All applications must be submitted via Dropbox and include all required application materials. Please read the instructions carefully so your nomination is properly filed.

BECOME A JUROR
We are looking for five fabulous planning professionals to serve on our awards jury. Juror tasks include reviewing all submitted award nominations, attending a juror dinner to vote on the winning nominations, and attending the awards ceremony. In addition to a free dinner and ticket to the ceremony, you will receive a beautiful trophy and lavish praise from the entire Orange County planning community. The 2020 Juror dinner will take place sometime during the week of April 6 -10, 2020.
