ARAWC GOVERNMENT RELATIONS UPDATE
TDI’s Substitutes Rule:
On Tuesday October 29th, the Texas Department of Insurance held a stakeholder meeting for their proposed rule making on the sale of substitutes to workers’ compensation insurance. This meeting was the culmination, to this point, of almost two years of ARAWC and others discussing this issue with TDI. The Department has asked for updated comments on the rule by November 15th. QCARE UPDATES
Since the launch of QCARE on October 2, 2019, Texas injury benefit programs that cover over two hundred thousand Texas employees have now received the QCARE designation, and that number is growing weekly!
