Vote Nov. 3: Make your voice count!
Dear friends,

There are only 25 days until the election!

Register to vote online on the Oregon Secretary of State website at sos.oregon.gov/voting or turn in a voter registration card to any county election office within five calendar days after signing the card. The last day to register is Oct. 13. A registered voter who has moved, changed address or changed their name must re-register.

Ballots will be mailed to voters between Oct. 14 - 20. Voters can use any official ballot drop site in Oregon to return their voted ballot during the 20-day voting period. Locate Oregon ballot drop boxes at sos.oregon.gov. Ballots may also be returned in person or by mail to a county election office by 8 p.m. on Nov. 3.

Protect Oregon Families
No one should have to live in fear that their family might be torn apart or they may be forced to leave their home. And yet, thousands of immigrant Oregonians live with the looming threat of deportation on a daily basis. Now is the time for change.

Tell Oregon’s Congressional delegation to take action to protect immigrants who call Oregon home with a pathway to citizenship.

Sign the petition to ask the U.S. Congress to:
  • Include immigrant Oregonians in the next stimulus package.
  • Defund U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's (ICE).
  • Pass legislation to provide legal status and a pathway to citizenship to DACA recipients and other undocumented immigrants, without increases to enforcement.
  • Stop the separation of families.
  • Defund U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Take action today to protect immigrant Oregonians and their families!
Demand the Protection of Our Democracy
This year has been chaotic, and the next few months will likely follow that trend. In order to protect ourselves pre- and post-election, we must claim the power we have in this process. Voting on Nov. 3 is key, and that is part of our power. We must register to vote and turn out and make sure everyone in our circles does too!

However, we cannot overlook the call to prepare and organize before the elections, in case there is a need to mobilize after they occur. With this in mind, Speak Up Now Oregon has started a petition calling on the media, elected officials and the armed agents of the state to commit to protect the integrity of our elections.
