2020 WISHIN HIE Summit – Eyes on the Horizon

At WISHIN, our eyes are on the horizon and we’re making the future of health information exchange clear – for all providers and health plans. Join the conversation with your peers about the latest on the new data sharing regulations and learn how WISHIN and our partner, PatientPing, have made a real difference in healthcare.

This is a one-day conference, hosted by WISHIN, January 29, 2020 in Wisconsin Dells at The Glacier Canyon Lodge focused on maximizing the value of health information exchange (HIE) with an emphasis on care coordination and real-time encounter notifications.

Stay tuned for a full agenda that will be shared soon. Here is a link to the 2020 WISHIN HIE Summit.

Single Sign-On Between WISHIN and PatientPing is Live

Joint clients of WISHIN and PatientPing now have the convenience of accessing the WISHIN Pulse Community Health Record directly from the PatientPing portal or worklist.

WISHIN recently enabled single-sign-on (SSO) functionality to allow care coordinators and others to seamlessly access detailed, real-time clinical information from WISHIN Pulse about patients or members who have had an event outside their health care organization or network.

“We know SSO functionality is critical to an efficient workflow,” said WISHIN CEO Joe Kachelski. “Now there’s no need for PatientPing clients to separately log into WISHIN and search for a patient. If your organization has received a “ping,” a single click from that screen will bring your care coordinator into the patient’s community health record within WISHIN Pulse.”

PatientPing clients interested in enabling SSO access into WISHIN Pulse should contact WISHIN at wishin@wishin.org . There is no additional charge for this service.

WISHIN Receives Additional Minnesota Certification

WISHIN as recently granted a Certificate of Authority to operate as a “Health Information Exchange Service Provider” (HIESP) in Minnesota.  WISHIN is considered in Minnesota to be a “Health Data Intermediary” (HDI) type of HIESP. Under Minnesota law, HDIs are entities that provide “technical capabilities or related products and services to enable health information exchange among health care providers that are not related health care entities.”

WISHIN had previously been certified to offer Direct secure messaging and HISP services in Minnesota. The new certification means that WISHIN is authorized to offer all services related to WISHIN Pulse, a clinical data repository, event notifications, and public-health reporting as well.
