Mission Puerto Rico
Keynote speaker Dr. Gene Dowdy of Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in San Antonio shared the history of the partnership between Holy Spirit, San Antonio and Misión San José de Arimatea in Añasco, Puerto Rico, going into detail about how their team built relationships between the churches, planned their first mission trip, and prioritized the needs and vision of their partner church in Puerto Rico over their own expectations. After their first amazing mission trip, some of the church members from Puerto Rico were even able to attend Cursillo Español at Camp Capers in 2019. While the coronavirus pandemic has paused further trips to visit San José de Arimatea, the two churches remain in contact through text messaging apps and email communications.
